Notes

1. Ancestry.com (accessed 1 March 2017), citing “Session of the House,” The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, (Fort Wayne, Indiana), 20 September 1908, p. 5, col. 2. This article states that Rev. Allen Philpot was a pastor at the Central Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, at that time, and gives his surname was spelled “Philpot,” not “Philpit.”
2. Cemetery name is “Harlan.”
